“Curtis the Artist” Animated Signature
Animated 3D signature for renown Los Angeles-based artist Curtis the Artist. Software: Blender.
3D Design: RF Circuit Board
A circuit board and chip I modeled and rendered for client Akash Systems. Completely modeled from engineering drawings. Software: Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator.
Photogrammetry: Sea Creature
RealityCapture 3d model and texturing of a sea creature sculpture by WOWHAUS at the Sunnyside Conservatory in San Francisco, California USA.
Photogrammetry: Fire Box
Also with RealityCapture, 3d model and texturing of a vintage fire call box on the street in San Francisco, California USA.
Photogrammetry: Hydrant
With RealityCapture, a realistic 3D model of a rusted fire hydrant. Shown here is a Sketchfab interactive version.

Akash Systems chip
For satellite Askash Systems, I modeled and rendered a 3D version of their RF radio transmitter chip. Shown here is a Sketchfab interactive version.
GVG Animation for Brookhaven National Laboratories
This animation was created for Brookhaven National Laboratories. The video was part of a video press release to announce the development of an new technique for blocking dopamine production in neurons.
The animation demonstrates how GVG (or gamma vinyl-GABA) appears to prevent the biochemical and behavioral effects of nicotine and cocaine by altering the way brain cells communicate.
Neurotransmitters such as dopamine travel in the synapse between neurons and then return to their home cell. Drugs like nicotine and cocaine can prevent this re-uptake. The animation depicts the blockage of the dopamine transmitters by cocaine via GVG.
Postepy Biochemii
For Polish science journal Postepy Biochemii, I designed this cover image of a neuron firing for a story about research on dopamine and neural transmitters. You may view a higher resolution version of the original image here.

Brookhaven National Laboratory “Quark Soup”
For Brookhaven National Laboratory, I designed this news release animation which shows how the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC, http://www.bnl.gov/rhic ) was used to discover a new form of matter. Gold ions collide at nearly the speed of light releasing quarks and other sub-atomic particles to form a “quark soup” as in the early universe. In collaboration with BNL’s physicists, I scripted, storyboarded and produced the final animation. The full story of the groundbreaking science can be found here.
Brookhaven National Laboratory “The Perfect Liquid”
This is the original animation I created for Brookhaven National Laboratory which shows the result of research using the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC, http://www.bnl.gov/rhic ). Evidence to date suggests that gold-gold collisions the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven are indeed creating a new state of hot, dense matter, but one quite different and even more remarkable than had been predicted. Instead of behaving like a gas of free quarks and gluons, as was expected, the matter created in RHIC’s heavy ion collisions appears to be more like a “perfect” liquid.
Neurons
Acting through specialized projections known as dendrites and axons, neurons carry information throughout the neural network.
This animation appeared in documentary Das Wissen vom Lernen on the ARTE German public television network. The film is the work of the talented filmmaker Erica Fehse.
Bag O’ Nails logo
For Melbourne Australia based blue-rock band Bag ‘O Nails, I created a unique and instantly recognizable logo based on the band’s name and the number of members.
